Second generation

Comparing myself with my 2 sons: 1. Their English is much much better than me at their age but I think my Mandarin n Malay r much better than them. 2. They hv better support n guidance from parents in their studies n choos4687-cing careers. I was left on my own. There was no counsellor in school. My teachers just laughed when I told them my ambition. 3. They have better tertiary education. The distinguishing factors are not only English but quality of lecturers n depth of studies. Instead of learning the law, I spent the first 2 years trying hard to  improve my English n of course spending much time in PBCUM. 4. They hv travelled a lot more including overseas n hv better world view. 5. They hv access to a wide variety of books n also online articles n therefore better exposure than me. I read books on investment a few years after working but my sons started reading them while studying in university. 6. I worked very hard in studies n at work trying to do my best. They r more relax n less hard working (as of now. Hopefully when they grow older, they get wiser). I guess they learnt to work smart. Also, we didn't push them hard enough realising that a degree is just d stepping stone n what matters r many other aspects - EQ n others. 7. They hv better earning capability but we had easier time working, I think. Less competitive when we started working. 16.2.2021

新年感悟

我太太生病时，我的感悟是 - 活着。这两年冠病肆虐，又加了 -健康。活着 + 健康 = 健康的活着。Stay Alive Healthily. 看来简单，做起来不容易，共勉之， 加油。祝新年快乐 1.1.2022

阿丙与拿督

阿丙与拿督 @ 25.1.2021 阿丙说他不是拿督，不常去火锅店，不敢喧哗，不敢打人，怕吃官司。 阿丙又说他不是拿督的儿子，在餐馆吃饭，邻座抽烟，喧闹，他不敢出声，只能明哲保身。 可是阿丙不甘心，他是拿督的朋友，什么都不能做吗? 这种随便丢一粒石头都肯定能砸到的人，能够做什么呢?

I share his science genius. Bing: My late uncle was a fisherman. He knew many types of fishes. Before MCO, I know only ikan kembung, jenak, pari, bawal, don’t know got white, black, gold, silver bawal. Your uncle’s knowledge cannot pass down to you without you study book lah. No study book also can be President of USA, USA boleh jugak! Trump: You can inject disinfectant into your body to kill the Covid 19 virus. I'm not a doctor. But I'm, like, a person that has a good you-know-what. Bing: You genius know all. The last time I heard people accidentally drop some disinfectant into fish pond, fish all si kiao kiao! Trump: I am taking hydroxychloroquine to prevent Covid 19. Bing: You sure GILA liao. No sick eat medicine.

行管期二三事

行管期二三事 1. 有一天早上， 阿丙去巴刹买东西，来到卖椰浆饭档口排队。轮到他时，有一老妇女插队。
阿丙: 安娣，现在轮到我，麻烦您排队。
安娣: 。。。
阿丙: 安娣，可以站后面点吗?要保持距离。
安娣: 没事的，不用怕啦。怕死不要出来啦!
阿丙: 。。。( 安娣，您胆子大，不怕Covid19,我很佩服。您年纪大，吃盐比我吃的米还多，我也服输。我是胆小，怕死，不过不出来会饿死。我年纪小，还想吃多几年盐， 还想环游世界，翱翔太空(如果有大减价)，。。。)

2. 有一天傍晚， 阿丙帮忙居民协会派送政府口罩給住同一条路的居民。一路上只需放进邮箱。来到一家，刚好甲乙俩夫妻在门口。
阿甲: 什么来的?
阿丙: 政府送的口罩。
阿甲: 哦，谢谢魏家祥。
阿乙: 做么要谢谢魏家祥?
阿丙: 。。。 (不是该谢谢我咩!)

报载马六甲河在行管期间变干净，清澈了。我听政府的话，没出去趴趴走，不知道啦。不过26.4.20有蚱蜢来拜访我们。上一次见到蚱蜢已是好多年前了。记得当时孩子们还小，一只大蚱蜢飞进我们家，我们费了好大的劲才把它赶出我们家。不过， 行管期后，车照跑，垃圾照丢，很快就会恢复原状。
